Rollback Instructions

Step 1. Download the appropriate rollback firmware from one of the aforementioned links and extract the zip package.

Step 2. Copy the extracted dload folder to the external storage of your phone.

Step 3. Take a full backup using the inbuilt app provided by Huawei.

Step 4. Disconnect the USB cable and turn your phone off.

Step 5. Now hold Volume up + Volume down + Power buttons until the installation screen appears.

Step 6. When the phone restarts after completing the installation, your firmware version should now be “B300”.

Step 7. Download a stock Marshmallow firmware compatible with your phone’s region/model (B190 for Russia or B210 for Middle East) and extract the zip on your PC.

Step 8. Now copy Marshmallow’s update.app package you obtained in the previous step to the dload folder already present in the external microSD card of your phone (delete the previous update.app file).

Step 9. Finally, turn off your phone and hold Vol up + Vol down + Power for a few seconds to start installing Marshmallow.

Compatibility Note: The rollback firmware provided above are only intended for devices running a C10 (Russian) or C185 (Middle East/Africa) based Nougat firmware. For other regions use the appropriate rollback packages or try installing the Marshmallow firmware directly using the dload method.

Downgrading Instructions

Installation Procedure

1. Requirements: You’ll need a VNS-L21 handset already running a C432 based build with TWRP custom recovery installed.
2. Download the update.zip package from above and copy it to your phone.
3. Turn your phone off and reboot into recovery mode by holding Volume up + Power for a few seconds.
4. In TWRP, perform a backup of all the partitions and store it in the external SD card.
5. Now return to the main screen, go to Install, choose the update.zip package you copied in the second step and confirm its installation.
6. Upon installation, return to the main screen and perform a factory reset. Reboot your device after that.

VNS-L21: Huawei P9 Lite (L21) B336 Nougat Update [Beta] [Europe]

How to Update

Warning: This is a beta update so it may sometimes cause issues with 3rd party apps and wireless connectivity. Be extra careful while installing this update and take proper backups beforehand. Proceed at your own risk!

1. Requirements: Unlocked bootloader & TWRP custom recovery.
2. Download the update.zip package from the aforementioned link.
3. Connect your device to the computer and copy the update.zip package to internal memory or SD card.
4. Turn your phone off and reboot into recovery mode by holding Volume up + Power for a few seconds.
5. In the recovery mode, take a backup of all the partitions. Make sure it is set to use the SD card for storage.
6. Now return to the main screen, go to Install and choose the update.zip package you copied to your device.
7. When the installation completes, perform a factory reset and then reboot your phone normally.
8. Whenever you want to roll back to the previous firmware, you can simply restore the backup instead of flashing it again.

Updating Instructions

How to Update
